Mr. Josip Obajdin - Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Obajdin is the Chief Executive Officer and has structured the requisite consortium resources and participants in terms of: (a) reputational standing, (b) professional expertise, and (c) financial backing in order to bring the Project into what is essentially a shovel-ready state to benefit both Public and Private Stakeholders. Mr. Obajdin holds degrees in Law (Hons), Commerce, MBA (investment banking) and Supreme Court Bar Admission to the Courts of South Australia (2002); he has extensive experience in global markets and deal structuring. Prior to founding Grand Central Industries (Holdings), Mr. Obajdin was previously Head of Sales at FIS Global Iron Ore Markets (Singapore).
Mr. Peter Herington - Chairman
Mr. Peter Herington is the independent, non-executive Chairman of GCIH and is recognized as a reputable professional with high standing in the Australian Corporate landscape; he holds advanced degrees in finance and economics, including an AMP from Harvard University. Over a 30 year career, Mr. Herington’s select career highlights include roles with: Westpac Banking Corporation (formerly Chief Financial Officer of Corporate and Institutional Banking / Business and Consumer Banking); the World Bank; and Ord Minnet as Finance Director.
